Lauri Ylonen

Date Of Birth: 23rd April 1979

Lauri Ylonen was born on April 23rd 1979 in Finland and is the lead singer and song writer for The Rasmus. He met Eero and Pauli back in school where the band was first formed with their friend Janne. He soon quit school deciding he wanted to make the band his main priority and began setting about that.

He loves to travel the world and see new places and cultures and make music as often as he can with his trusty guitar. He never lets anyone cut his hair himself and feels his life is hectic which he likes as he gets impatient easily. When he's not on tour or doing anything with The Rasmus he can usually be found at Dynasty Recordings which he is co-owner of with Pauli Rantasalmi writing songs for other bands. He never uses his real name for writing the songs and likes to be kept in the dark when bands do use his songs.

Lauri is the face of the band meaning he is always out there doing the most promotion and interviews and has the strongest English out of all the guys. He maybe a shy and a reserved person at times but usually opens up eventually and lets his true cheeky little self out to play and also has a tendency to trip up on himself especially on stage. He has also done some collaberations with the likes of Killer and most recently Apocalyptica back at the end of 2005 with "Life Burns" and "Bittersweet" which also featured Ville Valo of HIM.

Though no matter what fans love him for his unique style and fashion and the fact he is so dedicated to The Rasmus and also the fans who go out there and buy the records.
