Great music from HIM as well, and I like Ville Vallo He's a great singer and finnish bands are the best

they are good too and i like their Venus Doom album and my fab song from it is Kiss Of Dawn

i got into HIM thru The Rasmus

Awww, HIM!! I was very fond of this band in the past! Now i listen to them from time to time. They are a little bit too soft for me these days, but they are a GREAT BAND!!

Many of my friends are HIM fans. I must admit even though they are not my favourtie band i do like their style. Ville's voice is hypnotic and extremely deep, a more romantic rock then anything else i think.
Also there has been debates with me and my friends on whether TR copied HIM's style, what with the Gothic-like music and style and now their own brand of music label for themselves for example HIM call their music Love Metal, and have the Heartogram etc and now have labelled their style o fmusic death Pop which i must admit i don't like. But then again, TR will always be rock to me. And i have never actually seen any evidence to suggest TR have copied anything from HIM although many would disagree

I also don`t think TR have copied HIM! I`m very happy that TR didn`t change their style of music so much, HIM did and thats why i don`t like to listen to their new stuff very much!! Its really sad, too many of my former fave bands have changed!

lol I've heard so many people saying that Lauri copied Ville and so on and so forth. I don't think so though. Him and The Rasmus are two different bands. True they seem to have a similar style. Like both bands have very deep lyrics but that won't make them alike. The Ramsus didn't copy HIM. I've seen how bands copy other bands and I don't think it's the case here.
@Ceres: I think that all the changing thing is part of our everyday lives. It's something normal and I think they developed.I don't like their new music too much either. I prefer their old stuff but if they are still successful then there must be something good about them

I wouldnt mind seein a duet between Ville and Lauri tho and i like In Joy and Sorrow as it is a reminder of my friend Mauri who died

A new duet with Lauri would be great but I don't think that this will happen too soon. From what I've heard (might be wrong and if I am please tell me) Ville doesn't like singing with other artists. Might have something to do with his ego or something
And yes, In joy and sorrow is truly one amazing song. I sometimes have tears in my eyes whilst listening to this song. Plus I seem to be obsessed with hem again lately which is great
